Bingo night at St. John Roman Catholic Church was a rousing success. We collected over 200 pounds of food from the wonderfully supportive folks who attended in addition to $348 in proceeds from the 50/50 raffle. Our neighbors in need will directly benefit from this generosity. Thank you St. John RCC!

We were recipients of a generous donation from the Roaring Run Lions Club to help mitigate food insecurity in our community. We are grateful to this wonderful organization for their support of so many local humanitarian efforts.

This week we celebrated the birthday of one of our longest tenured volunteers, Kelly Hoover. The effort was spearheaded by Chef Susan Mann (Mann Made) who provided a Smith Island style cake for the festivities. Kelly brightens the day of everyone she encounters at Food Sunday so it was nice to see a little light shined on her. Happy Birthday, Kelly!

More Scouts! Cub Pack 733 came in to Food Sunday to sort food donated during the Scouting for Food drive. We are grateful for their enthusiastic help.

We received a donation of 24 new client welcome bags from the Elks Lodge 2277. Peggy Markovic is pictured in the photo with CCFS Executive Director Caroline Babylon.

The Elks applied for and received a grant that helped to fund these new client welcome bags. The Elks also provided a financial donation to Food Sunday earlier in the year.
