The Westminster Town Clerk's office will be closed Friday, May 1. The office will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. May 4, 5 and 6. Notary services and marriage licenses will be unavailable until May 7, 2026.

Deadline for Petitions is Jan. 26 regardless of weather conditions
Per state statute. (The Town Clerk’s Office cannot extend the petition deadline due to weather.)

Petitions for Westminster Town Officers, Windham Northeast Supervisory District (WNESU) Board Members, Westminster School Board Members and Town Meeting are due to the Town Clerk’s Office no later than 5 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 26, 2026.

Please place completed petitions or letters of intent in the drop box marked Tax payments to the right of the entrance door of the Westminster Town Hall by 5 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 26.

Due to the anticipated storm, the Town Clerk’s Office will be closed for in-person services on Jan. 26. The office will re-open at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 27, 2026.

LIGHT UP WESTMINSTER
What: Holiday Light Contest
Let’s come together to make this holiday season bright with lights. Don’t miss the chance to light up Westminster with your holiday creativity.
Where: Westminster - Westminster West – North Westminster
Duration: 12 Days
Display Requirements: Decorations must be visible from the road and fully lit from dusk to 9:00 p.m. each evening from December 22-28, 2025
Who Can Enter: Residents in Westminster
Entry Deadline: December 26, 2025
Participants will be judged on three categories:
Glitz and Glitter
Classic Christmas
Judges Choice
Winners: Will receive cash prizes or maple syrup to be announced after the New Year.
By entering the contest, participants agree to have their address published in the Westminster Gazette and their displays photographed for promotional purposes.
