1. Unless something happens, the tank will fail. It will either leak 7000 gallons of this chemical or the tank will explode. Don't know which option or when.
2. Evacuation of all cities is about 40,000 people.
3. WAGS is available for pets to be placed at.
4. People can come to senior center for shelter. However, recommend people to go elsewhere. We are looking at secondary location.
5. Evacuation is moving west to east.
6. County Health states there are side effects to breathing fumes including dizziness, headache, and chest irritation.
7. If not in evac zone but close, feel free to stay indoors. Do not inhale for long periods of time.
8. EOC is still activated and staffed.
9. Social media posts and press release in three languages will be posted soon.

As of right now, no residents in Districts 1 or 2 have been asked to evacuate. However, officials are currently working on a plan as more information becomes available.
Just FYI, the current shelter location is the Westminster Senior Center, and parking is free. If residents have pets, WAGS will house them for the time being
Chemical leak situation in our neighboring city of Garden Grove and the evacuation orders that have been issued for nearby neighborhoods.
At this time, there are no evacuation orders for the City of Westminster. We are closely monitoring the situation alongside public safety officials and staying informed about developments in Garden Grove.
The safety of our residents remains our top priority. I encourage everyone to stay informed through official updates from local authorities and emergency services. Please continue to use caution and remain alert as crews work to contain and mitigate the situation.
