Annual Spring Muster event hosted by The Chesapeake Antique Fire Apparatus Association at Pleasant Valley Community Fire Co is an open to the public, display of antique fire apparatus.

The event will be held rain or shine. The Pleasant Valley Auxiliary will have breakfast and lunch available for purchase!

The officers and members of PVCFC send out a huge congratulations to member Ileana Judd on her graduation from the CCVESA EST Program. A high school program through the Carroll County Tech Center where high school senior take Fire and EMS classes throughout their day. We wish her the very best in her future endeavors!

This past weekend 6 volunteers from PVCFC participated in Mid-Atlantic Technical Rescue's "Rescue Weekend" hosted by Union Bridge Fire Company at a nearby industrial site. The weekend was filled with challenging scenarios and constant learning opportunities. The crew at MATR always do a stellar job of pushing the boundaries of reality while keeping us prepared for a worse case scenario!

Tonight was a beautiful night for your Pleasant Valley Volunteers to review drafting and fill site operations. So beautiful in fact that Captain 6 forgot to take any pictures until the sun went down and we started packing up. Some members were even able to juggle setting up the social hall for an event and making it out to training with plenty of time to enjoy the daylight.

Today our juniors traveled to Mt Airy Volunteer Fire Company to take part in Junior Day. They started the day watching an auto extrication demonstration and then took part in 4 rotations to different stations where they got some hands on practice with forceable entry, EMS, ladder truck, and brush truck operations. There was also a demonstration with FEMA search and rescue dogs and a presentation on therapy dogs. A visit from the US Park Police Helicopter was a highlight of the afternoon. The day concluded with a bucket brigade battle. It was a great day and everyone had a great time. We would like to thank the Mt Airy Volunteer Fire Company for hosting and all the hard work their volunteers and paid staff put into making it a memorable day!
