Great news for Garden Grove! 🏡

The City of Garden Grove has been awarded $653,368 in state housing funds to support homebuyer assistance and the construction of new affordable rental housing.

I’m pleased to see these resources coming directly to our community to help expand housing opportunities and put homeownership within reach for more local families.

Six bills. Six wins. Now, they’re headed to the Governor’s desk.

From expanding access to autism treatment and honoring Sylvia Mendez, to supporting responsible housing development and delivering tax relief for families impacted by the Garden Grove chemical incident, I’m proud to have authored these bills and worked to get them through the Legislature.

September is Su***de Prevention Awareness Month.

I was proud to coauthor HR 126, recognizing September 2026 as Su***de Prevention Awareness Month in California and raising awareness of the resources available to those in crisis.

Su***de remains a serious public health issue and a leading cause of death in the United States. If you or someone you know is experiencing a mental health or suicide-related crisis, call or text 988 to reach the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline, available 24/7.

California’s affordability report card is in, and Sacramento is failing.

❌ Home affordability: F
❌ Utility costs: F
❌ Rent: F
❌ Gas prices: F

While Californians struggled with the cost of living, lawmakers considered proposals representing more than $803 BILLION in annual taxes and fees during the 2025–26 legislative session.

Californians can’t afford Sacramento’s excuses or another tax hike.

I’ll keep fighting to lower costs and to make California affordable.

Proud to support Leno’s Law and see it pass the Legislature!

Last year, I had the chance to meet Jay Leno in Sacramento and discuss the importance of California’s classic car culture and the role it has played in our state’s history.

Glad to see Leno’s Law moving forward and proud to support California’s classic car community.

AB 760 has PASSED the Legislature.

After the devastating chemical incident in Garden Grove, families and businesses need compensation for the losses they suffered.

California shouldn’t turn around and TAX that relief.

That’s why I authored AB 760 to make sure victims can keep more of the money meant to help them recover.

It passed with bipartisan support and is now headed to the Governor’s desk.

Thanks to the incredible partnership of the Board of Education and GGUSD staff, including Vice President Lan Nguyen, my office was proud to distribute 1,200 backpacks at Hazard Elementary and through other community partners across the district.

Proud to support AB 1267, a bipartisan effort to finally end child marriage in California.

Marriage is an adult commitment, and California law should treat it that way. 18 should mean 18.

The bill is now headed to the Governor’s desk. I urge him to sign it and help us protect California’s children.
