We are a public school academy with a well-rounded program based on the Michigan core curriculum and focused on the study of international cultures. At ULA, we encourage our students, who come from more than two dozen countries, to tear down walls and build bridges by sharing and celebrating their diverse cultural backgrounds. Thus they learn not to fear their differences, butto draw from one anot

her’s strengths and maximize each student’s potential. In this safe and respectful environment, our dedicated educators lay the foundation for a lifetime of learning, offering an innovative, world-class education that inspires students to academic excellence and prepares them for their future roles as responsible citizens and community leaders. Universal Learning Academy: a unique, superior alternative to traditional public school education.

Throughout her time at Universal Learning Academy, Lara has demonstrated exceptional leadership, dedication, and service. From serving as NHS President to founding multiple school initiatives and earning dual-enrollment credits, she has made a lasting impact on our school community.

This fall, Lara will continue her academic journey at the University of Detroit Mercy on a pre-law track, where we know she will continue to achieve great things.

Congratulations, Lara! Your hard work, determination, and commitment to excellence have inspired those around you, and we can't wait to see what the future holds for you.

Congratulations to our America & Me Essay Contest school-level winners:
• Nour Almodhafar
• Mariam Kassem Moussa
• Lana Moussa
We are incredibly proud of these students for their hard work, writing skills, and outstanding representation of Universal Learning Academy through this statewide competition.
A special congratulations goes to Nour Almodhafar, whose essay advanced to the final 30 essays in statewide judging—an impressive accomplishment among submissions from across Michigan.
While there were unexpected delays this year at the state level due to program transitions and technical difficulties, we are grateful that our students are still being recognized for their achievements and efforts.
We would also like to thank our staff members who continue to encourage literacy, student voice, and meaningful academic opportunities. These accomplishments reflect the support, guidance, and encouragement our students receive each day in their classrooms.
As we look ahead to next year, we are excited to continue expanding participation in academic enrichment opportunities such as the America & Me Essay Contest and further strengthen our culture of writing excellence across all grade levels.
Congratulations once again to our student winners, and thank you to our staff, families, and school community for your continued support.
