Unearth a Story with Mad Science!

Mad Science will present hands-on demonstrations to examine how dinosaurs lived, what they ate, and even how big they were—it'll be a fun and fascinating blend of science, imagination, and discovery! Ages 4-12, parent participation required. Please register your child only.

Wayne-Westland Community Schools is proud to offer the Meet Up and Eat Up Summer Food Service Program for children and teens 18 years old and younger. Free, healthy meals will be available at multiple locations throughout the summer—no registration required.

Learn about popular dinosaurs and then help build an imaginative dinosaur using nearly 2,000 large foam fossils! Ages 12 and under. Registration required. This program will be outdoors, weather permitting, bring your own chair or blanket.

Please only register your child for one session: 2:00-3:00pm OR 3:00-4:00pm.

From May 1 through June 30, our library will host The Holocaust: History, Memory, and Michigan Voices, a traveling exhibit presented by the Zekelman Holocaust Center.

Youth and Teen Summer Reading 2026 Kickoff Party

Join us outside in the Children's Garden for our Youth and Teen Summer Reading Kickoff party! Pick up a reading log, enjoy snacks, do a craft, try your luck at a guessing jar, and more! Also, enjoy our yearly Sidewalk Obstacle Course! *event will be moved indoors in the event of bad weather*
