Our social media person is taking some well-deserved personal time, and asked us to keep telling people why they should visit the library, especially since it's Library Card Sign-Up Month!

We can't make videos like he can, but we can definitely doodle some reasons it's 'kinda chic' to visit the library! Hope to see you at the library soon!

Thursday is the Friends only "Preview Sale" from 3-6pm.

Friday and Saturday are open to all shoppers from 10a,-4pm.

🤔From the arts, to history, sports & more, general knowledge was put to the test this past Trivia Tuesday!

On September 1, teams participated in a friendly trivia competition to see who generally knew the most.

We might have gotten 2 really rough storms in the past 24 hours, but the Library still has power and is open for all to cool down, charge devices, and more!

We'll be open until 9 PM tonight, so stop on in! Just be careful travelling Southbound on Central City Parkway from Warren Rd as there are reports of flooding.

FRIDAY 9/4 UPDATE: We still have power! We'll be open from 9 AM until 5 PM today.

The City of Westland has moved the State of the City to Westland City Hall due to today's heat and weather forecast. Updated details are in the post below!

LOCATION UPDATE: The 2026 Westland State of the City & Business Awards has been moved indoors to Westland City Hall due to weather!

Join us today, September 2, from 4PM - 6:30PM in the Grand Ballroom at Westland City Hall, 36300 Warren Road.

The evening will still feature the Business Awards and Mayor Kevin Coleman’s keynote address.
