This month's Wednesday Afternoon Book Discussion will be about "The Art Spy" by Michelle Young.

A riveting and stylish saga set in Paris during World War II. An extraordinary tale of a female hero whose courage and tenacity in a time of violence and terror is an inspiration for us all.

Today we pause and remember those we lost on September 11, 2001.

The library is hosting a livestream of the Commemoration Ceremony held in NYC until 1:30 p.m. in the Porter Room.

You can visit Christina's Corner in the Youth Services Department and write a message of hope on a leaf to add to our Remembrance Tree. This space is dedicated to Christina Ryook, a Westlake resident who was lost that day.

Or you can quietly reflect at our display in the lobby that holds a piece of the World Trade Center. Visitors are welcome to touch the piece.

On the second floor you will find a poster exhibition from the 9/11 Memorial & Museum showing the story of 9/11 across 14 posters.

We are also recording patron accounts of where they were that day and how it affected them. Reserve time in our makerspace between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. to record 2-3 minutes of your story. Recordings will be assembled and featured into a blog post which will be published later. Visit or call the Makerspace at 440-871-2600 opt. 2 to make a reservation today.
