"The Bird Nest-New Life Creations" Night classes available on Tuesdays and Thursdays 6:00-8:00 pm. Classes in different arenas of crafts. Classes can be done by groups set up in advance.

Floral designing, scapbooking, painting, mosaics, woodworking and also children's classes. If you have something in particular you would like to learn, please make suggestions and I will do everything I can to accomadate you. We will be doing Fall centerpieces, wreaths and some painting in October. Starting in November we will start on Christmas projects. We will also have someone teaching Cricut classes and different projects in scrapbooking. Day and night classes will be available.

Well , as most of you know, I closed down the booth I had at flea market at the end of 2012. Just got to be too much coming and going ! Loved the people but I felt like I was just treading water in a big circle . HAHA ! Maybe sooner than later I will decide what I want to be when I grow up. If that ever happens ! Just enjoying spending time with my big kids and my babies ! Tim and I together have 10, again let me say that TEN GRANDCHILDREN ! 5 boys and five girls. Big kids are Tyler 19, Austin 18 , Justin 16, Demi 13 , and Kailey will be 12 on Sept 25th. Babies are Logan 8 on Sept 15th , Kainen 6 ,Kynley 4 ,Camille 3 and brand new Ella Grace born on June 27, 2013 ! You do not ever know how blessed you are until you have grandkids ! AMEN !?! I WOULD NOT TRADE THEM FOR ANYTHING THAT I COULD POSSIBLY THINK OF !! NOW THEIR PARENTS , SOME DAYS THAT MIGHT BE QUESTIONABLE !! LOL !! No I love them all too, it just depends on what day you ask as to how much, HAHA !!! I just try to enjoy each day and each memory that we create together. Cause these are the days you never get back ! I broke my phone and had to get a new one today or I would post some of those "special day" pictures. Hopefully the people at AT&T can get them off my broke phone tomorrow and I will post some them. Crossing my fingers anyway ! Only thing I really want people my age to get from this is that sometimes your priorities are not lined up in the right place. Sometimes we get so caught up in the almighty dollar that the material things become more important than the things right before us. I repeatedly say , I don't think God will ever ask me how much my house cost or if I always drove a brand new car ! But I believe that we will all be accountable for other things. Maybe like how much we loved unconditionally and did things for others whenever we saw a need. I know some of you have to work , there is no doubt in that ! It really takes 2 incomes now adays just to make ends meet but sometimes there are times when it is really not necessary and we use having to have the money as an excuse to get out of other things. But as for me , I will live in my mobile home till God chooses for me to go home or until maybe a tree falls on it and we have to get something else. I wouldn't pass up a day of shopping with one of my babies or a fishing trip with my boys for a new house anyday. The time has come quick enough for the older ones that don't need Grandma or Pawpaw for anything except maybe borrow a little money or something every now and then. We don't see them much ! I am not about to miss out on one day that I can spend making memories with our children or grandchildren just for a few extra bucks ! Any extra money will just go on shoes that I NEED or something else to pile up here and get rid of one day !
Well , these are my thoughts for today ! If anyone agrees with me , let me know ! If you disagree , oh well !! But to all of you my family, my friends and acquaintances enjoy your days to come and I pray you are seeking God's will for your life everyday ! And may he continue to watch over you and bless you in a special way !!

Well, we are moving in as quickly as possible. Hauling stuff daily ! I may have to rent a space to sleep at nite so I can get there earlier every day ! (LOL) Meeting and Greeting new and old friends everyday ! Come by and share with me what you would like to have a class on. I am really working hard to offer you a wide variety of projects to do, some things that everyone will be interested in learning. I will also be offering in-store mongramming as soon as computer is hooked up.
Come by and visit and see the wide variety of really neat and unusual things that the other venders have to sell. We are almost at max compacity as far as booth space goes so there are a lot of things to see.
I hope to have a calender by the 17th of Oct. with a full schedule of classes for days and some nights. Look forward to seeing you soon !

WELCOME!! Young ones, "older ones", new friends and dear friends to "The Bird Nest" ! I am so excited about this new season in my life! I have opened a booth at the Peddler's Market Place on Sampson Street in Westlake ! My intention is to teach and hopefully learn some things along the way of the multitude of floral designing and different venues in the crafting field that I have been taught in th...e past 20 "something" years. Hopefully, (with a little help from my daughter, hint, hint) I will get a calender posted on this page with things to come and try to keep it as much up to date as possible with this month and the month to come. Keep checking because things could be added daily as more artisans come on board. It is my hope with the economy the way it is, to teach you how to do things for yourself and hopefully maybe to also pass on what you learn to some one else. Isn't that the way God designed it, "Each one, reach one" ! As for the fees, they will be charged according to each class individually. But one reason I chose this building to work in was because I have always believed in buy local first. I want to contribute to MY local community in any way possible! I want you to know the the 1st 10% of income goes to my local church and each month a different "local" charity will receive the next 10% right off the top before any bills get paid. For the month of October, I have chosen the "Ethel Precht Hope Breast Cancer Organization". As I am quite aware, there are vey few families that have not been affected in some way by cancer. But this particular organization is dear to my heart because breast cancer has effected two "Spectacular, Amazing Women" in my life. And this organization has reached out to them to help with their medical bills. All the monies they raise stay local ! You will also be welcome to add to the charity with a jar that will be on my table each day ! Feel free to drop in change, anything that u might have extra because every penny counts !
So keep checking, feel free to come by and visit the shop anytime. There are quite a few different booths in the Market place so you never know what you might find. If you have any ideas for something you would like to do or any group classes, please feel free to call me and we can set those up. My goal is to teach what people are interested in learning but also so teach you some neat things that can be made for Christmas, Birthdays, or just that special friend gift. You will be amazed at what you can do for just a little bit of time and money that will be that personlized special gift that someone will keep for a lifetime. We will do this project on Saturday, October 8th from 4:00 - 6:00 pm. The cost will be 25.00. The class might not take the entire 2 hours depending on your range of experience. Remember to wear clothes that will not be ruined if you spill as acrylic paint does not come out. Also don't forget that 10% goes to the Ethel Precht Hope Breast Cancer Organization. We will be doing this project for children on Saturday, October 8th at 11:00. The cost will be $10.00. The class should take no longer than an hour. Children should be able to use scissors or have someone there to help them.
