1️⃣ Oak Park Fire Safe Council offers Home Ignition Zone Assessments to help residents identify ways to reduce wildfire risk around their homes.

2️⃣ Learn how your landscape can help protect your home at our Firescaping class on October 10 at 9 a.m.

This free workshop covers fire-resistant plants, defensible space, vegetation and fuel management, and evacuation preparedness.

Triunfo Water & Sanitation District has served the community for more than 60 years.

Here’s a look at some key moments in our history:

📍 1963 — Triunfo Sanitation District is formed.
🤝 1964 — Las Virgenes Municipal Water District - Triunfo Joint Powers Authority (JPA) is formed.
💧 1965 — Tapia Water Reclamation Facility begins operating.
♻️ 1972 — Tapia begins producing recycled water.
🚰 1993 — Triunfo expands into potable water service.
🌱 2017 — Triunfo acquires the recycled water system from Calleguas.
🏢 2022 — District offices move to Westlake Village.
🎉 2023 — Triunfo celebrates 60 years of service.
💦 2025 — Pure Water Project’s Advanced Water Purification Facility is approved.
🌱2026 — Pure Water Project’s Advanced Water Purification Facility breaks ground.

What does it take to serve more than 30,000 people?

A lot of pipes, pumps, and treatment capacity.

More specifically, we're responsible for:

🛣️ 120 miles of sewer pipelines
🚰 6 pump stations
🔧 4 miles of pressurized pipelines
🏠 10,826 sewer service connections
💦 Up to 16 million gallons of wastewater treated per day

Most of this essential infrastructure works quietly behind the scenes, but it plays a huge role in keeping our community running.

Wildfire season is here, and with hot, dry weather comes a greater need to use water wisely.

Now's a great time to check your sprinkler controller and make sure it's set for the season.

✅ Water in the early morning to reduce evaporation.
✅ Adjust your controller as temperatures rise.
✅ Check for leaks or broken sprinkler heads.
✅ Make sure you're watering your landscape, not the sidewalk.
✅ Skip watering after rainfall.

Using water efficiently helps keep your landscape healthy while reducing waste during one of the driest times of the year.
