The Westgate American Legion will be having their annual Veterans Day soup and sandwich dinner on Sunday, November 10, 2024, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m, at the Westgate Legion Hall. Free will donation.

The Westgate American Legion Post 92 will be sponsoring their annual Veterans Day Soup and Sandwich Dinner on Sunday, November 12, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The menu will be chili or chicken noodle soup, ham sandwich, dessert and drink. Free will donation.

Bill Kauten (on right), US Army veteran and member of the Westgate Legion Post 92, was “welcomed home” from the Honor Flight at the Waterloo airport last night by Westgate commander Lyle Gordon.

Westgate Post 92’s Memorial Day program will begin at 9 a.m., Monday, May 29, at the Legion Hall with the West Central Band performing the “Star Spangled Banner.” Readings will be given by Legionnaire Bob Belden and Auxiliary member Mary Belden, followed by selections from the WC Band.
Legionnaires will present the “Missing Man’s Table.”
Dennis Tellin will be presented with a 50-year membership certificate.
Bob Belden will give the benediction, and the WC Band will conclude the program with “Taps.”
All are invited to stay for refreshments.
