The Town is located to the west of Lowell and north of Concord almost to the New Hampshire border. Westford has a beautiful, state of the art library, a very active community center with offerings for all ages, an active recreation department, an excellent school system, the Nashoba Valley Ski Area, and two town beaches on spring-fed ponds. Every year the Town has an Apple Blossom Festival in May

with a parade and the crowning of an apple blossom queen and a Strawberry Festival in June featuring a wonderful craft fair and strawberry shortcake. The Town of Westford truly has something for everyone. Physically, Westford is a very beautiful town with rolling hills, lakes, and apple orchards. Originally Westford was noted for its farms and woolen mills, but today is mostly a bedroom community with an emphasis on high tech.

A warm front lifting through our region brings a period of humid and unsettled weather today. Expecting two rounds of rainfall, the first, a round of showers in the morning followed by a chance of strong to severe thunderstorms this afternoon and evening. The strength and coverage of severe weather depends on the amount of clearing this afternoon.

📣 Town Offices Closed – Friday, June 19 for Juneteenth Holiday

In observance of Juneteenth, all Town of Westford offices will be closed on Friday, June 19th. There will be no delay to trash and recycling collection.

Normal Town Office operations will resume on Monday, June 22nd.
