117 cars filled with people donating goods freely to the community.

188 additional shoppers ready to give useful items a second life instead of sending them to the waste stream.

1 truck filled to the brim with 2,800 pounds of ungifted goods to continue the diversion effort. This was our heaviest weight to date!

Spring Junk in the Trunk was free, fun, and a success by any measure thanks to all of you.

Thank you to everyone who donated, shopped, volunteered, spread the word, and helped make our first event at Stony Brook so fantastic. We are so grateful for this community and all that we can accomplish together.

See you this summer on August 1 when we will be celebrating the 5th anniversary of Junk in the Trunk!

Greetings Junk in the Trunk fans!

We are gearing up for our spring event (date to be posted soon)!

In the meantime we are looking for people who would be willing to join a “potential volunteer list”. If you love JITT and are willing to help with ex*****on of the event, please PM/DM us so we can add your name and contact information to the list. A big thank-you to everyone who came out for today’s Junk in the Trunk event! 💚 Despite the blustery morning, everyone rolled with the wind and kept the good energy flowing. We’re so grateful to our amazing volunteers who kept things running smoothly from setup to pack-up, you make this community event possible every single time.

It’s always inspiring to see how much creativity, generosity, and good humor show up in one parking lot.

✨ Thank you to everyone who came out for today’s Junk in the Trunk — what a great event! ✨ If you missed it, check the comments section -- there's a little video that will help you see what it was like today.

We’re especially grateful to NECR for generously hauling away donated items at the end of the event, to the Westford Rotary for providing the insurance that keeps our event safe, and to all of our incredible volunteers who worked hard to keep things running as smoothly and efficiently as possible. 🙌

✨ This Saturday at Junk in the Trunk! ✨

We’re proud to support Chloe Gallagher, a local Girl Scout working on her Silver Award Project. Chloe has created videos to raise awareness about domestic violence and will be collecting donations for local shelters at the event. You will find her table next to the Rotary table at the back of the lot.

Bring an item, support Chloe, and make a difference! See you Saturday, August 23!

Have items you’d love to pass along? Looking to find some treasures? Or just want to browse and connect with neighbors? Come on down!

This month, we’re adding something new — a Plant Clippings & Garden Overflow Table for anyone with extra seedlings, cuttings, or produce to share.

As always, everything is free — nothing for sale, just community generosity in action.

When: Saturday, August 23
Where: Abbot Elementary, 25 Depot Street, Westford
***Enter on Fisher Way only!***
Time: 9:30 a.m. to begin setting out items (no early birds please)

Today was our biggest Junk in the Trunk event to date!

⭐️ Nearly 100 cars with items set out to give away

⭐️ 1 fabulous Rotary Club table

⭐️ Around 50 cars with folks just there to shop (yay!)

⭐️ And a fair number of pedestrians too!

Our estimate: 350 attendees today! 🎉

A big thank you to everyone for your patience and support as we implemented our new parking process via Fisher Way. We’re always working to improve the flow and the experience for all. 🩷

Next up: August 23! We hope you can join us, it’s an incredibly fun way to enjoy the financial, environmental, and social benefits of this event.
