September is National Su***de Prevention Month

Su***de prevention starts with connection, awareness, and knowing when and how to reach out.
A person who is struggling may not always say they need help. Changes such as withdrawing from others, expressing hopelessness, talking about being a burden, increased substance use, or significant changes in mood or behavior can be signs that someone may need support.
Checking in can make a difference. Ask how someone is doing, listen without judgment, and help them connect with support when needed. Talking openly and compassionately about su***de does not cause su***de, it can create an opportunity for someone to share what they are experiencing and get help.
You don’t have to be a mental health professional to make a difference.

Older Adult Flu Clinic Information

I wanted to let you know that Westford Health Department is once again holding a FLU CLINIC for residents 65 and older. Please see details below.

To schedule an appointment simply click the registration link, which will take you to COLOR, where you can select an appointment time. I have also included a QR CODE, as another convenient way to register.

If you need any assistance with booking your appointment, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Walk-ins are always welcome, but checking in without an appointment can take a little more time. Scheduling ahead is the quickest and easiest way to get through the clinic.

Please remember to bring your insurance card with you.

Alert Message:
The following cities and towns had WNV positive mosquito sample(s): Acton, Ayer, Chicopee, Dover, Erving, Granby, Millbury, New Bedford, Norton, Quincy, Sharon, Southborough, Swansea, Walpole, Wilmington & Worcester. There are no risk level changes. Recommended public health measures include raising awareness among residents, reminding residents to use mosquito repellents with an EPA-registered active ingredient and observing peak mosquito activity at dusk and dawn. MDPH will continue enhanced surveillance activities in this region. Please click on this link to access risk maps updated with today’s positive results:
