Yesterday, responders, healthcare professionals, and physicians representing Westford Public Safety Communications, Westford Fire Department, Northeast MA Technical Rescue, Boston MedFlight, Region II EMS Council, Lowell General Hospital, and Lahey Hospital came together for an After-Action Review following a recent technical rescue in town.
Facilitated by Lt. Hanley-McCarthy, the review provided an opportunity for those involved to come together, discuss the actions and decisions made that day, and reflect on the teamwork that contributed to a successful outcome.
As an education-centered discussion, the group highlighted what was done exceptionally well while also identifying opportunities for improvement should a similar incident occur in the future. These conversations are an important part of continuous learning, professional development, and strengthening the partnerships that allow us to provide the best possible care and service to our community.
We are proud of the collaboration, dedication, and professionalism demonstrated by everyone involved. Sessions like this not only help us become better prepared for the next call, but also provide valuable insight and learning opportunities for our colleagues and partners.
Thank you to everyone who attended, participated, and continues to dedicate their time and expertise to serving our community.
Together, we learn, improve, and grow stronger.
