A couple weeks ago, I had the opportunity to participate in Fire Ops 101! Experiencing a day in the life of firefighters, EMT’s and paramedics! It was an awesome day!!Although controlled experiences - it is TOUGH HARD WORK! Teamwork, the right equipment & staffing matters! Support your firefighters, EMS & paramedics! Total respect for these men & women
Thank you to Westfield Fire Department, Hamilton County Fire Fighters Local 4416, Carmel Professional Firefighters Local 4444 for the invitation & experience. I appreciate the dedication, selflessness and hard work these men & women do every day to keep our communities safe!! And a special thank you to Westfield Fire Fighter Abby who led our group! She’s a rock star right here in Westfield!
(And yes - I entered and experienced the heat/fire/smoke in the burning canister)
