American Legion Post 124 Since our charter in 1919 , our Westfield American Legion Post 124 has been welcoming VETERANS from all branches of our Armed Forces. S.

MEMBERSHIP ELIGIBILTY in the American Legion is based on honorable service with the U. Armed Forces between:

(April 6, 1917 -November 11, 1918) World War I
(December 7, 1941 - Today)

Eligibility dates remain open, all members of the U.S. Armed Forces are eligible to join The American Legion at this time, until the date of the end of hostilities as determined by the government of the United State

s. Must have served at least one day of active military duty during the periods listed and honorably discharged or still serving honorably.

Recipients of the two American Legion Post 124 Scholarships awarded at the 64th Annual Scholarship Awards Night by CSF Westfield Dollars for Scholars on Wednesday evening, May 27, 2026, held at Westfield Middle School.

The recipient of American Legion Post 124 Walter L. Range Memorial Scholarship was Remy Mercier. Remy will be graduating from Westfield Technical Academy and will be attending Wentworth Institute of Technology in September.

The recipient of American Legion Post 124 Stanley Kellogg Smith Memorial Scholarship was Lincoln Van Heynigen. Remy will be graduating from Westfield High School and attending Bryant University. Lincoln is an alumnus of 2025 Massachusetts Boys State held at Stonehill College. Lincoln will be attending Bryant University in September.
