Thank you is an understatement. I don’t know who to personally thank as there weren’t any gift receipts in the boxes but holy cow! I have been struggling with needing to cut back on intakes due to the out of pocket costs but these donations will keep me up and running for the season. The critters appreciate you all 💗💗💗

If you remember the large snapping turtle that I found on the side of the road last September. She spent the past 9 months being rehabbed by Melissa with My Little Turtle Rescue. We got to release her today… it was quite the event trying to do it on a private golf course and it ended with me driving a golf cart back but Freedom is finally free once again. Thank you Melissa for all of your hard work and everyone give her page a follow 💗💗

Update on our little possum friend. He is eating a bit more, has started to gain weight and his attitude has started to come out as well which means he is feeling better. He did go to the vet today and he does have a corneal ulcer which looks like it has ruptured. I will keep a close eye on him, continue with his eye meds, pain meds and antibiotics and he goes back in 2 weeks for a recheck🙏🏻💗

Mister fussy pants doesn’t want to eat on his own as much as I would like so I’m bringing out all of the yummy foods tonight. We have scrambled eggs with cottage cheese, broccoli, strawberries, my special possum Greek yogurt smoothie, dry cat food, a small dish of formula and fresh water…. Literally ALL the things 🙏🏻💗

I am almost of out shelled nuts and formula already. Money is tight and I’m trying to keep taking in babes so any help is appreciated as always 💗

What is eveyone else doing at 12:30 AM??? I’m tube feeding this adorable possum and wrangling crazy juvenile and baby squirrels up to my ears. I average about 5 hours a sleep per night during the week….. this rehabber is tired 😴 💗

Our new possum friend is doing much better. His bruising is almost gone, hydrated and doing well with his tube feedings 💗

Baby possum is heading in the right direction. I honestly didn’t think he was going to make it overnight.
I don’t typically tube feed, I know how to, but I don’t like to which is just a confidence issue in myself, but I did it and I successfully tube fed him, and I put him in the incubator to hang out, gave him a little bit of puréed banana and I always leave a little dry cat food out at this age as well (chopped up to smaller bits).
I’ve been stressing all day about this one little possum and while I was feeding everybody else, I like to walk around while I’m feeding my older squirrels and hold them close to my chest while I pace and I peeked into the incubator and I see him licking up some of the pureed banana …… I was like are you serious? I just stressed and sweat through that tube feed and here you are just eatting on your own like a big boy 😅🙄 Pray he keeps going into the right direction!
