This week, I had the honor of attending the dedication of bricks for WWII Missing in Action veterans at the Indianapolis Soldiers and Sailors Monument.

My grandfather, William Francis Arnett, is one of the 1,529 MIAs honored at this memorial. Standing there and seeing his name remembered was a deeply meaningful experience for me and my family.

I’m incredibly grateful to organizations like the Daughters of the American Revolution for their dedication to preserving the memory and legacy of those who served and never made it home.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget. 🇺🇸

I am pleased to announce that our Advancing Westfield Foundation has awarded $499,000 in grant funding to 22 organizations serving our Westfield community. These grants represent the heart of what the Advancing Westfield Foundation was created to do — support the organizations that are meeting real needs in our community. From youth development and mental health to food insecurity and senior support, these organizations are making a meaningful difference in the lives of Westfield residents. A proposed Costco is officially moving through the City’s review process!

The Midtown at Westfield PUD, Amendment II, was filed today for the northwest corner of 191st Street and East Street.

The proposal includes a 166,739-square-foot Costco retail warehouse and a fueling facility with 32 pumping stations.

The project will be introduced at City Council on September 28 and will move through the APC process beginning on October 5. If approved, construction is anticipated to begin in 2027.

Last week, I spent a morning with Gerry Dick of Inside Indiana Business discussing our downtown's transformation. This summer, nearly $500 million worth of new developments are starting to take shape in our downtown area, including standalone office spaces, restaurants, and mixed-use developments adding hundreds of new public parking spaces. Also, the Park Street Improvement Project is underway to bring our restaurant district to life with outdoor dining, amenities, and even more parking! Excited to see our downtown come to life!

What a finish!!! Congratulations to Michael La Sasso for winning his 1st professional golf tournament. The 22 year old American was the 2025 NCAA National Golf Champion and joined Phil Mickelson’s team this year. Thank you to everyone that attended and made this a memorable weekend for our community.

We just broke ground on Park & Poplar!

This project is so important to our downtown area, serving as an anchor for the west side. The mixed-use development will bring over 29,000 square feet of restaurant & retail space and 60,000 square feet of office space. A public plaza, connectivity to the Midland Trace Trail, and over 500 new parking spaces will help our residents and visitors further enjoy the sights, sounds, and tastes of our downtown.
