As we reflect on 2024 and 2025, we are deeply thankful for your continued support. From standing with the 102nd Cavalry Squadron during their deployment to Syria and Iraq in 2024—hosting a farewell ceremony for more than 1,000 attendees, sending care packages, and supporting families at home—to staying connected through meaningful touchpoints in 2025, your generosity made it all possible.

On behalf of Bonds of Courage, the 102nd Cavalry Family Readiness Groups, and the troops and families we serve, thank you for being part of our community and for standing with those who serve.

For those who do not know - we are located at the Westfield Armory. Bonds of Courage has been located in the Armory for the past 10 years. We have been supporters of the 102 Cavalry through the years. Due to the large need this deployment - the "Box Brigade" is back!!!

Calling all supporters! Bonds of Courage is relaunching our Box Brigade program to send care packages for our deployed New Jersey Army National Guard Soldiers. Are you local and looking for something to do while it's cold and wintry outside??? How about making a poster to support the 102nd Cavalry! Thank you to the Friends of the Westfield Memorial Library Westfield Memorial Library for agreeing to be our collection site. The 102nd will be leaving shortly for their deployment to Syria/Iraq. Our beloved 102nd Cavalry will be deploying in January 2024. We are coordinating a poster collection to decorate the Westfield Armory walls for their farewell ceremony. Bonds of Courage and the NJ Cavalry and Armor Association will be hosting the 12th Annual Support Our Troops Casino Night. The squadron is preparing to deploy again, this time to Iraq and Syria. They are deploying in 2024 in support of Operation Inherent Resolve (OIR), which includes a campaign in both of those countries. While Bonds of Courage’s mission has been to support all Veterans and service members serving all branches of the military, we now turn our hearts and our effort toward the 102nd Cavalry Squadron. They are our hometown heroes.
