Sharing some quiet moments in First Responders Park (374 W. Main St.)

Join us on September 11 from 12–1 p.m. in the park with members of Westerville Fire and Police Divisions, City Council and the VFW/American Legion to observe the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001.

The event will gather around artifact C-40, a piece of steel from the North Tower that permanently lives in the First Responders Park to honor the legacy of the courage of first responders and ordinary citizens in the face of tragedy.

Update: 911 Voice Call Service Restored

The regional communication problems affecting 911 voice call service have been resolved.

You may now resume using 911 as normal for all emergency assistance in the Westerville area.

Thank you for your patience while this issue was addressed. As always, the Westerville Division of Police's non-emergency line remains available at 614-882-7444 for non-emergency matters.

*************

Important: 911 Voice Call Delays
We are aware of regional communication problems affecting 911 voice call service. Depending on your cellular carrier, callers may experience delays when attempting to connect with 911.

If you are in the Westerville area and need emergency assistance, we recommend calling our non-emergency line at 614-882-7444 whenever possible. This line may provide the most reliable connection to emergency services while these issues are occurring.

If you are unable to connect to 911 or can't make a telephone call, you can also text 911 in an emergency.

We do not have an estimate for when services will be fully restored but will provide updates at www.Westerville.org as they become available.
