Thank you to all of our volunteers, attendees, supporters, and partner organizations who helped make the 2026 Allegany Garrett Counties Volunteer Fire & Rescue Association Annual Convention a success that we were proud to host.

It was great returning to a traditional full-day convention format with a prayer breakfast, memorial service, executive committee meeting, joint luncheon with scholarship presentations, a full-scale emergency services parade, and an awards ceremony in the park.

Most importantly, events like this remind us why volunteer associations matter. By working together alongside neighboring departments and organizations, we strengthen the volunteer fire and EMS service, build partnerships, and continue tackling challenges like recruitment, retention, and sustaining our services for the future.

Thank you again to everyone who joined us in Westernport and helped make today one to remember! 🚒🤝
