Jadon MacCormack’s comments are hateful, inappropriate, and have no place in our state. He must withdraw from the 50th State House District race.

No one should feel unwelcome or uncomfortable because of who they are. These types of divisive politics are tearing communities apart at the seams.

My focus is on bringing people together to address Connecticut’s affordability crisis, property tax burden, and build a more prosperous future for everyone.

This morning, I had the pleasure of joining members of Old Mystic United Methodist Church as they celebrated an incredible milestone — 200 years of faith, fellowship, and service.

For two centuries, the church has been a cornerstone of the Old Mystic community, bringing people together through worship, outreach, and a shared commitment to helping others. It was an honor to present a Connecticut General Assembly citation recognizing this remarkable anniversary and the many generations who have helped shape the church’s legacy.

Congratulations to the entire Old Mystic United Methodist Church family on 200 years of making a difference in our community.

Although I was unable to attend the Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce’s ribbon cutting due to a scheduling conflict, I was pleased to stop by beforehand to present a Connecticut General Assembly citation and congratulate Jamie and her staff on this exciting milestone.

Mystic Salon + Head Spa is bringing something truly unique to our region as the home of Connecticut’s first luxury head spa experience. From salon services to specialized scalp and wellness treatments, Jamie has created a space dedicated to helping clients look and feel their best.

Congratulations to Jamie and her team on this exciting achievement and on bringing an innovative new business to the Mystic community.

Congratulations to the students who participated in Electric Boat’s Signing Day and officially committed to beginning their careers after graduation.

Whether entering the skilled trades or technical workforce, these students have demonstrated hard work, determination, and a commitment to building a strong future for themselves and our state. As they begin their careers with Electric Boat, they will play an important role in building the submarines that help defend our nation, protect our freedoms, and support the men and women who serve in the United States Navy.

Connecticut has a long and proud shipbuilding tradition, and it is inspiring to see the next generation stepping forward to carry that legacy on. I have no doubt these students will make a lasting impact through their work and dedication.

Congratulations to all of the graduates, and best wishes as you begin this exciting new chapter.

Great turnout at the Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce’s Summer Kickoff at Delamar Mystic last night. It was wonderful to see so many local business owners, community leaders, and friends coming together along the waterfront to celebrate the start of the summer season in Mystic.

Events like this are a great reminder of how strong and connected our shoreline community is. Thank you to the Greater Mystic Chamber and Delamar Mystic for hosting such a beautiful evening. Looking forward to another great summer in southeastern Connecticut!
