Donor Spotlight: HDR, Inc.
Our heartfelt thanks go to HDR, Inc. for choosing the Westchester Food Pantry as the recipient of this year’s incredible mini-golf food drive. This unique event brings employees together to design and build imaginative mini-golf holes and obstacles using only food donated by their individual departments. After a day of friendly competition and creativity, every can, box, and package is donated to a local pantry, turning a fun team-building activity into meaningful support for families facing food insecurity.
This year’s partnership began with HDR employee Jamie Gutierrez, who passes the pantry on her commute each day. “I noticed the long line outside on Wednesday afternoon and realized the building was a food pantry,” Jamie shared. Her simple observation inspired her to recommend the Westchester Food Pantry as the beneficiary of this year’s event. Thanks to Jamie and the generosity of the entire HDR team, their creativity and compassion will help stock our shelves and ensure that local families have access to nutritious food. It’s a wonderful reminder that sometimes the biggest acts of kindness begin with simply noticing a need and deciding to help.
