We had a great virtual author visit with Rosa Kwon Easton this past Thursday evening. The lively talk was hosted on Zoom by Reference Librarian Ian Bloomfield, as we discussed her debut book, White Mulberry. This heartful and insightful book is inspired by real life stories of her grandmother, who as a Korean teenager in the 1930s moved to Japan for a chance at a better life. Join us for our next virtual author visit, with Rosa Kwon Easton, to discuss her debut book, White Mulberry. This heartful and insightful book is inspired by real life stories of her grandmother. In the 1930’s, a Korean teenager moved to Japan for a chance at a better life. But in turn, she must learn to cope with the challenges she faces living in Japan during that time period and the effect it has on her life.
