Full-time dispatch of forty one (41) fire departments and four volunteer ambulance corps within Nassau County, NY using fourteen different frequencies. We also provide back-up dispatching and emergency call-taking for the other approximately thirty fire departments within the county.

Nassau County was proud to host this critical training. Those in attendance included our Assistant Chief and Captain, as well as leaders from Nassau County, OEM - LI, Office of the Fire Marshal - County of Nassau, New York State Police, and other state partners.

DHSES recently hosted a Managing Chaos workshop in Nassau County, bringing together emergency management, fire, law enforcement, and other public safety professionals to strengthen leadership, decision-making, and communication during complex incidents.
