We know everyone is anticipating the fireworks on Saturday night but have you heard about what's happening on Sunday?!

Starting at 9AM and going to 1PM there will be music, activities and games for children, food, and the Bill's Seafood Patchogue Paddle!

Participants of all ages are invited to join using canoes, kayaks, or paddleboards. The race will begin and end behind Westbrook Town Hall, following a scenic course along the Patchogue River to the historic Singing Bridge and back.

Following the race, there will be awards, prizes, and fun for the whole family.

Come and join the fun! This event will be hosted on the grounds behind the Westbrook Town Hall at 866 Boston Post Road. We can't wait to see everyone there!!

Westbrook's America 250 Celebration weekend is almost here! We are excited to welcome everyone to a weekend of community, patriotism, and family fun as Westbrook celebrates America's 250th anniversary!

🎶Friday - The Middletown Symphonic Band will perform in the Westbrook High School Auditorium. Doors open at 5 PM, with the performance from 6 PM to 8 PM, join us for an evening of wonderful music in the comfort of air conditioning!

🎆Saturday - Enjoy Family Day on the Green from 12 PM to 2 PM, featuring activities for all ages, while supporting the Council of Beaches Food Drive. The day concludes with our spectacular Community Fireworks at 9:15 PM, launched from a barge off Seaside Avenue and visible from Westbrook's shoreline.

🛶Sunday - Bring the whole family to the grounds behind Westbrook Town Hall from 9 AM to 1 PM for our Community Celebration! Enjoy food, children's games and activities, music, and Bill's Seafood Patchogue Paddle Race. Whether you're participating in the paddle race or simply relaxing with friends and neighbors, there's something for everyone.

We hope you'll join us as we celebrate our community and our nation's history together! We look forward to seeing everyone for an unforgettable America 250 celebration weekend!

Where We Are & What's Next - AI in Our Schools and Community

Westbrook Public Schools and Westbrook Board of Education invite you to attend a presentation about AI (artificial intelligence), and how this technlogy impacts how we live, learn, and work together. Matt Mervis, National AI in Education expert and host of the award-winning ChatEDU podcast, will discuss what parents and community members should know about the current state of AI and what's on deck for the future. Please join us on Monday, May 18, 2026 at 6:00 PM in the Westbrook High School auditorium for this informative session.
