"It's shaped me into who I am, and it makes me want to become a Big someday, so I can make someone feel how she made me feel."

Five years ago, Emily picked up Allyssa-Lynn, a quiet 13-year-old, for ice cream. Today, that same girl is heading to college with confidence, big goals for the future, and a lifelong sisterhood.

From Freeport light shows to goat yoga to hours of car ride conversations, Emily and Allyssa-Lynn built a bond both of them, without comparing notes, call a "unicorn" match.

Allyssa-Lynn's mom, Jamie, says you'd never know they aren't related.

All three agree the impact goes far beyond the match itself, changing their lives, and families, for good.

Since November 2025, Hermione and her Big, Marina, have built something special. 💚

From bowling and roller skating to bike rides and picnics in the park, this dynamic duo has filled their friendship with adventure, creativity, and connection. Marina's encouragement has helped Hermione grow more confident and resilient. Even through a busy summer of travel and camp, they stayed close through letters, texts, and check-ins.

As Hermione heads into 7th grade, her grandparents describe this match as one that just keeps getting stronger.

This is exactly what's possible when one caring adult shows up for a young person, consistently and with heart!
