Ali shares her personal journey navigating brain injury, invisible disability, identity shifts, emotional healing, and the realities of rebuilding life after unexpected change. Together, Bev and Ali explore concussion recovery, disability advocacy, accessibility, navigating healthcare systems, the importance of community support, and what it means to continue creating joy, purpose, and connection through difficult circumstances.

Ali also discusses her work through Embracing Unique, her accessibility consulting, support groups for individuals navigating disability and concussion recovery, and her passion for increasing awareness and inclusion for the brain injury and disability community.

This episode is an honest and compassionate conversation about resilience, belonging, advocacy, and redefining wellness through the lens of lived experience.

Roberta Brown and Lydia Goldblatt, from the 250th Anniversary Committee, along with Jenn Kirkland, Westborough Recreation Director came to talk about the upcoming 4th of July Block Party and the 250th Anniversary Fireworks that are scheduled for June 26th, 2026. The Block Party kicks off at 5:30 at Baystate Commons.
