☀️ WESTBOROUGH, SUMMER, WHERE DID YOU GO?… ☀️
It’s over.
Summer. Is. Over. 😢
The kids are going back to school, the alarm clocks are coming out of retirement, and somewhere in Westborough a parent is currently saying:
“GET YOUR SHOES ON — WE HAVE TO LEAVE!”
Meanwhile, the kids are thinking:
“I thought we had another week?” 😂
But there is good news…
The Westborough Police Department is ready for the return of school buses, backpacks, crosswalks and morning traffic. 🚔🚌🎒
A few friendly reminders as we all get back into the routine:
🚌 Stop for school buses when the red lights are flashing and the stop sign is out.

🚸 Watch for students crossing streets and using crosswalks.

🚗 Remember the 20 MPH school zone speed limit and give yourself a little extra time to get where you're going.

🚦 Be patient with school traffic. The first few weeks can be a little hectic as everyone gets back into the routine.

And to our students: Have a great first day and a fantastic school year! 📚🎒

So goodbye, summer.
Thanks for the beach days, cookouts, vacations and sleeping until whenever.
We'll see you next year.
Welcome back, Westborough! 🎒📚

🚔 Have a great—and SAFE—school year!

🚨🎒 WESTBOROUGH — SCHOOL IS BACK TOMORROW! 🎒🚨

Tomorrow is the first day of school, which means the roads will be a little busier, the school zones will be active, and parents everywhere will be asking, “Did you remember your backpack?” 😂

A few reminders from your friends in law enforcement:

🚌 School buses mean STOP. That big red flashing stop sign is not a suggestion.
🚸 Watch carefully for students crossing — especially when you're turning.
🚗 Slow down and expect extra traffic around our schools.
⏰ Give yourself a few extra minutes. Patience is a virtue… especially in the school drop-off line!
📵 Put the phone down and keep your eyes on the road.

Let's start the school year off safely and make sure our students, families, teachers, and staff all get where they're going safely.
