Re-elect Mayor C. Andre' Daniels for Westampton Township Committee As a 26 year resident of Westampton Township I'm proud of my role in our community's growth by advancing a Community First approach to governance. C. Mr.

Presently, Mr. Daniels serves Burlington County as a Board Trustee to BCCAP Burlington County Community Action Program. Daniels has also served National PTA as an elected At-Large Board member having served 2 consecutive 2-year terms and chaired the Resource Development Committee. Recently, he was slated by National PTA's Nominating & Leadership Development Committee to run as the Secretary/Treasurer of the National Association. He has traveled extensively as a National Service Representative and Keynote speaker representing National PTA to State PTA conventions around the country including the Western States CLASS Conference in Bismarck, North Dakota and the Military Interstate Conference in Seattle Washington. At the 2015 National PTA Convention in Charlotte North Carolina, Andre' was awarded the prestigious 2015 Presidents Award and also presented with a National PTA Lifetime Achievement Award. A point of pride honor was bestowed upon Andre' in Austin Texas in 2014 when he received the Excellence in Advocacy Award by United States Army ROTC Cadet Commander Major General Combs. In 2013 Andre' was appointed to represent National PTA to the Department of the Army's Strengthening America’s Youth Committee (SAY). Andre’s life of service and commitment to Country and Community began as a United States Air Force Veteran who served honorably and with commendation during Desert Shield/Storm. His military service prepared him to be not only an advocate for children and youth but also a civil servant to the community at large. As an elected member of the governing body in his hometown of Westampton, New Jersey, Andre’ takes seriously his personal belief that service and duty to community is a privilege born out of our responsibility as American Citizens who enjoy rich freedoms paid by the men and women who have served and continue to serve our Country and Community. While stationed at Tyndall AFB and McGuire AFB. Daniels’ was very involved in community outreach efforts and was president of the Airman’s Action Committee as well as a member of the coveted Honor Guard detail receiving General officer endorsements as well as an AF Commendation Medal and many Department of Defense, Department of the Air Force and Air War Weapons Center recognitions. After being discharged for medical reasons in 1991, Andre’ worked for the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia as manager of Supply Processing and Distribution, The City of Philadelphia as a Procurement Specialist, and State Representative W. Curtis Thomas of the 181st Legislative District in Philadelphia. In 1994 he was diagnosed with FSGS Focal Segmental Glomeruli Sclerosis and was told one day he would need dialysis. After several efforts to save his kidneys he eventually went on dialysis. During those long painful sessions over 4 ½ years he made a promise that if he ever had an opportunity to receive a transplant he would make the most of it. Faith in God and the hope and opportunity of medical science he was blessed with a kidney transplant on June 10, 2002. Seven days after being released from the hospital he got a call that his daughter forgot her lunch and as fate would have it he drove to her school still fresh from surgery where he was simply asked by a parent, “Would you consider volunteering for PTA?” He credits that moment as a pivotal point in his life where he began his life journey to repay the debt and blessing borne from his opportunity at a second chance at life. Andre' is the former Executive Director of the Boys and Girls Club of Burlington County having attained the designations of Youth Development and Management Professional from The Academy of Boys and Girls Club Professionals. In addition to those aforementioned groups, Mr. Daniels serves on a host of other statewide and national boards and committees

Yesterday while visiting The National Museum of African American History and Culture in D.C. I saw this inscription on the wall and it reminded me of my present political situation here in Westampton Township:

"The United States of America was founded on dissent. American colonies waged war for the principle that no one - no king - no lord - no president - held the right to rule without the consent of the people. The demand for popular sovereignty grew out of the experience of the founders, who understood the power granted by liberty. It also sprang in part, from the actions and political philosophies of enslaved men and women, who contested the right of any person to dominate another. Freedom was revolutionary, contagious, and incomplete" The Founding of America...

When the Westampton Democrat Party, Burlington County Democratic Party via its Chair and even an Assemblyman soon to be Senator abdicate the basic values and virtues of the Constitution that as elected officials we presume to advance, it really doesn't matter whether your a democrat or republican...in the end you are no better than a bully or inclined to partake in zealot behavior without rules, integrity or the cannons that a nation of laws prescribe to and in the end the body politic suffers!

So as my hero and mentor the Rev. Dr. King would say, "if it falls to my lot that I stand alone for the basic preservation of democracy in Westampton Township, in the 8th Legislative District of New Jersey...then I will stand alone like, Michelangelo painted, or Beethoven composed Music, or Shakespeare wrote poetry. I will stand alone for the people of Westampton Township, so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will pause and say, here lived an elected official who stood his ground and represented the people of Westampton Township well!

On the evening of Thursday, August 3, 2017, Citizens’ Media TV exclusively learned that the Westampton and Burlington County Democratic Parties have decided to nominate Sandy Henley to the ballot p…

Building strong relationships with our local business community is an essential part of a Community, Jobs and Progress philosophy...by any other name this is what economic development means to me.

Met with the ownership and leadership group of Hilton Garden Hotel in Westampton off of Exit 5 NJ Turnpike, they are excited about being a part of the community and look to grow their brand in the area. They also own the Recovery Sports Grill, look for a brand refresh of both the RSG in July and the Hilton Gardens around August/September time frame. VOTE TUESDAY JUNE 6! www.candredaniels.com

Service to community for me began many years ago, in service to our Nation as an Airman in the United States Air Force. It is in this role that I would serve in an additional capacity as President of the Airman's Action Committee. The AAC was created to preserve and advocate for Airman base-wide, artfully part of the job was the moral, welfare and recreation of those members and their families deployed far from home. My memories of this assignment remain as one of the best times of my life and I would be acknowledged by a base, a host community and even a Major General.

While many may attempt to focus on discourse designed to distract from the real issues every Westampton resident is most interested in. I stand ready to continue on the great path We have embarked on and that's controlling taxes, smart growth and economic development, preserving open space all while making Westampton Township one of the most desirable communities to live in New Jersey.

Committed, Dedicated progressive democrat with a proven body of work. I think it's important that for the last 2 years as Mayor we were able to present a flat budget. That smart growth and economic development has helped Westampton move forward as a community. That for the second straight year Westampton Township was denoted as one of the 100 best communities ro live in out of 565 and this year we received an "A" rating from Niche.com

I'm also proud to announce that we have acted to preserve our infrastructure by implementing a road management plan. Tomorrow the Westampton PD will accept a Community Service Award as one of the best departments in all of New Jersey presented by the NJ Office of The Attorney General. I'm proud as Mayor and Liaison to the police department to accompany our WTPD to receive this prestigious award.

On Tuesday June 6th New Jersey will hold a primary election and I will be on the ballot in Westampton Township. I am specifically asking the voters of Westampton Township to vote the Community First agenda on Column 7.

I credit 15 years of leadership in various roles in our community to include being elected to 2 terms on the Westampton School Board and 3 terms on the Westampton Township Committee as value added. Just recently I completed the Rutgers Certified Public Managers Certification Course in partnership with the New Jersey Civil Service Commission.

There's no secret to success, it's simply being able to relate to those you share a community with.
