The requested disaster declaration regarding Freeze from April 19, 2026, through April 22, 2026, has been approved by USDA.

All 21 counties in New Jersey, seventeen (17) primary and four (4) contiguous, are covered by this designation.

A Secretarial Disaster Designation makes farm operators in primary and contiguous counties eligible to be considered for FSA emergency loans and disaster set aside, provided eligibility requirements are met. Farmers in all counties have until February 8, 2027, to apply for emergency loan assistance. The attached Emergency Loan Fact Sheet provides further information on how producers may apply for this assistance with local FSA Offices.

Please share this information with your ag communities to assist in reaching the impacted farms.

The Month of June has been declared The Month of the Horse here in New Jersey by our Governor. The BurlCo BoA celebrates all of our horse owners, ranchers, equestrians, boarders, hay, straw, and feed farmers, trainers, farriers, vets, riding instructors, and transporters, and all others who support the horse population in Burlington County and throughout the State of NJ.

Governor Mikie Sherrill has proclaimed June to be in New Jersey!
Horses are New Jerseyโ€™s State Animal, and the equine industry remains a cornerstone of our agricultural community. This month, the NJDA is proud to highlight those that keep our equine sector strong all year long.
