Photos taken by Gilberto Prioste within the Toronto Canada portuguese community during the late 1970s and early '80s.

All photos take with a Pentax Spotmatic 1000 on a variety of films; Tri-X and Plus-X by Kodak, and my favourite - Ilford FP4. All hand processed at my kitchen sink.

Original Toronto Star caption: The Scarborough Civic Centre, an $11 million building in the geographic centre of the borough, will be in use late in May and will be officially opened by the Queen on June 29. Adjoining the centre will be a 128-store shopping plaza. The shimmering white civic centre will be surrounded by trees, shrubs and vines. Scarborough Civic Centre located on Borough Drive, north side, between Brimley Road and McCowan Road. - 1972
