***West York Borough Police Nab Commercial Burglars***
The West York Borough police department has taken into custody and charged Chantz Andrew Childs and Brittany Kay Becker, both of West York with multiple felony charges including conspiracy to commit burglary, burglary, and theft for the night time commercial heist of over $3,000.00 worth of collectibles and sports memorabilia.
According to an affidavit of probable cause filed last Thursday by Det. Lt. Kahley of WYBPD, on October 25, 2025, just before midnight, both individuals smashed the window of the Common Ground Collectibles shop in the 1600 block of W. Market St. They then stole numerous items including high value limited edition trading cards and autographed sports jerseys and memorabilia.
Both individuals fled the scene into the night.
An extensive investigation was conducted in which a neighborhood canvass yielded security footage that was able to connect both Childs and Becker to the crime and revealed where they had stored the stolen merchandise.
On Thursday Novemeber 6 a search warrant of their Monroe St. residence was executed. Both defendants apprehended, and numerous stolen items recovered.
They were then arraigned before district judge Thomas Reilly where both were remanded to York County Prison. Childs bail was $75,000.00 in addition a probation detainer was lodged. Becker was held on $50,000.00 cash bail.
