We appreciate the community’s feedback about safety and security at WestFest and are committed to making this year’s event safe and welcoming for everyone. In response to those concerns, we have worked closely with our public safety partners to review procedures, strengthen planning, and implement a comprehensive safety plan for this year’s festival and carnival.

Safety measures for this year’s event include:

▪️Enhanced coordination with police, fire, and emergency response teams
▪️Increased public safety presence throughout the event grounds
▪️Additional training for staff and event personnel
▪️Proactive monitoring and response to concerning behavior
▪️Strengthened event safety and emergency preparedness planning
▪️Improved communication between event organizers and public safety agencies
▪️Ongoing review and refinement of safety procedures
▪️Continued commitment to providing a safe, welcoming environment for all attendees

In addition, we have adjusted the schedule for WestFest 2026:

▪️New event days: WestFest will run Wednesday, June 17, through Saturday, June 20. There will be no events or activities on Sunday.
▪️The carnival will open on Wednesday, June 17, and close with the festival on Saturday, June 20
▪️The festival will open on Thursday, June 18
▪️The carnival will close at 10 PM each day
▪️On Saturday, June 20, the festival and carnival will open at 1 PM

We appreciate our community’s partnership and look forward to a safe and successful WestFest!

𝐖𝐕𝐂 𝐈𝐒 𝐌𝐄 – Graffiti Wall Drop Party

May 21st | 6:00 PM
City Park – 4500 W 3500 S

We’re officially putting up an 8-foot by 40-foot wall at City Park dedicated to graffiti and street art and we want the whole community there for the drop party!

We’ll have FREE FOOD and drinks, a live DJ ( ), games, giveaways, and NEW FREE 𝐖𝐕𝐂 𝐈𝐒 𝐌𝐄 SHIRTS for the first 600 people (if you already have the black 𝐖𝐕𝐂 𝐈𝐒 𝐌𝐄 shirts, you won’t want to miss out on these ones!

Our firefighters will be on the grill, police officers will be serving snow cones, and members of City Council and city staff will all be hanging out with the community.

Never done graffiti before? Perfect. We’ll have practice areas where you can test your skills before painting on the actual wall. We’ll also have professional artists there to help out and answer questions. Spray paint, paint, permanent markers, and supplies will be available, but we encourage everyone to bring their own supplies too!
