🚽 **One Last Flush! Utah Toilet Rebate Program Is Ending**

The **Utah Water Savers Toilet Replacement Program** is coming to a close after helping more than **4,500 Utah households replace nearly 6,000 older, high-water-use toilets** since 2019—saving millions of gallons of water! 💧

Still have an older toilet in a home built **before 1994?** You may still qualify for a rebate!

✅ Replace with an **EPA WaterSense® labeled toilet**
✅ Rebates available for up to **2 toilets per home**
✅ Submit your application within **30 days of purchase**
📅 **Applications must be received by October 31, 2026**
🚨 The program closes to new applications **November 1, 2026—no exceptions.**

As the program wraps up, Utah is shifting conservation funding toward **outdoor water efficiency**, where there are still significant opportunities to save water.

💦 **If you’ve been putting off that toilet upgrade, now is the time!**

60% of all the drinking water we use each year goes to outdoor watering in the summer. This year has been a reminder that we need to change how we think about water and be intentional with what we have. Our goal is to use about 10% less water than we did last year. This will put our community in a better position going into next year. So, we are asking everyone to budget with us and only water lawns twice a week or less. 🤝

You can still have a beautiful, functional yard and save a lot of water. Your lawn may not look perfect every day this summer, and that’s okay. We are here to help along the way where we can!

Stay with us this season for practical ways you can use less water while keeping your landscape healthy. Visit learn.jvwcd.gov for more information.💧

💧 Every drop counts! There are many simple ways to reduce water use at home and outdoors:

✔️ Check for leaks in toilets, faucets, and irrigation systems
✔️ Take shorter showers
✔️ Turn off the tap while brushing your teeth
✔️ Run dishwashers and washing machines only when full
✔️ Install high-efficiency appliances and WaterSense fixtures
✔️ Water lawns early morning or late evening
✔️ Set lawnmower blades higher to reduce evaporation
✔️ Use a broom instead of a hose to clean driveways
✔️ Turn sprinklers off when rain is expected
✔️ Reuse leftover cooking water for plants once cooled

Families can help too by visiting public splash pads or pools instead of running sprinklers at home, teaching children conservation habits, and encouraging neighbors to save water.
