Sorry for the delay in Posting.
Currently the Main Park remain without power. Mon Power has tried to fix it and did not succeed.
We have been over 30 hours with power. Mon Power has an old line buried in the park that feeds everything in the Main Park. It routinely goes down and they patch it. Additionally, our generator that keeps most buildings operational has failed. CRITES is unable to repair it until Monday.

The Park Commission has been given no timeline on restoration.

Through discussions with the Health Department and Mon Power the Pool will be closed on Sunday.

We regret the disruption to the park and our guests.

DUE TO MON POWER ELECTRICAL OUTGAGE THE OPENING OF THE POOL WILL BE POSTPONED UNTIL 2:OO PM. IF MON POWER FIXES THE ISSUE WE WILL POST AN UPDATE AND COULD OEPN EARLIER. THE PARK COMMISSION HAS ATTEMPTED TO GET UPDATES FROM MON POWER BUT NO INFORMATION HAS BEEN GIVEN.

Spencer Park - Doddridge County Parks & Rec. Comm.'s Smithburg location - is getting a new shelter. Spencer Park location was donated to the Park by Hugh Spencer in 1993. The shelter will have electric for lighting and outlets for guests to use. Planned as the first in possibly a few changes to Spencer Park in the coming years. Spencer Park offers a great point to access North Bend Rail Trail for hiking, bike rides or horse-riding access.

Thank you to Double N Construction for their great work on building the shelter and Huffman Corporation on laying the pad. Precise Connections handled the electrical installation.

This shelter as well as those at Doddridge County Park are always free to use on a first come first served basis if not reserved. Reserved signs will be placed by park staff if a shelter is reserved. If individuals would like to reserve the Spencer Park Shelter please contact the Park Commission at 304-873-1663.

REGISTRATION FOR THE June 15 Session is CLOSED. We have received far more inquirers than we can accommodate. We will contact those that have contacted us to inform them whether they are in class.

NO WALK IN REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED ON MONDAY JUNE 15th.

Doddridge County Park Swim Lessons begin Monday, June 15th at 10:30AM. Classes are Mon - Thursdays with Friday as a rain day. Limited registration will be strictly followed. Registration is a first come first serve basis. Beginner and intermediate participants welcome.

We can register over the phone and email registration forms. place you email, child's name and age (must be four years or older) in the comments and we will respond.

Morning Water Exercise Class - First Day. Plan on joining the group any Tuesday or Thursday Morning at 9:30AM. You can participate on a per class basis or register for the entire summer.

Doddridge Ducks Swim Team is taking Registrations for 2026 Summer Swim League.
