🎡 DCAA at the Doddridge County Fair! 🚑

Fair week is underway, and Doddridge County Ambulance Authority crews are on-site throughout the week to help keep everyone safe while they enjoy the fair!

You’ll find our crews and Command Trailer set up at the fairgrounds each evening. Whether you just want to stop by and say hello, need some basic first aid, aren’t feeling well, or have a more serious medical emergency, please don’t hesitate to come see us.

We also want to encourage everyone to come out and support the Doddridge County Fair this week. There’s plenty going on throughout the week, so come out, grab some fair food, and enjoy everything the fair has to offer! 🎠🌭🎟️

🚑 Be sure to stop by Saturday afternoon!

Saturday afternoon, we’ll have DCAA goodies for kids and adults, and we’ll have one of our ambulances open for everyone to look through. Bring the kids by, meet some of our crew, and take a look at the equipment we use every day.

Today, Doddridge County Ambulance Authority partnered with the Doddridge County Health Department to provide community outreach following the tornadoes and flash flooding that impacted our area.

Our command trailer was deployed to the Central Station area, where residents could cool off, access air conditioning, and use internet service. The patient care area of the trailer was also made available to the Health Department, allowing them to provide free vaccinations to individuals who had been exposed to floodwaters.

Our crews also traveled throughout the affected areas, distributing cases of water, meals donated by Wendy’s, and freshly prepared hot dog meals to residents and utility workers assisting with recovery efforts.

We appreciate the Doddridge County Health Department, Wendy’s, and everyone who helped make today’s outreach possible. Most importantly, we were grateful for the opportunity to support our community during a difficult time.

🇺🇸 Happy 4th of July, Doddridge County! 🇺🇸

We hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable holiday weekend.

As we celebrate Independence Day, we’d like to thank the EMS providers, firefighters, law enforcement officers, dispatchers, healthcare workers, utility crews, and all others who are spending part of the holiday serving their communities.

Whether you’re traveling, enjoying fireworks, firing up the grill, or spending time with family and friends, please celebrate safely.

As always, the Doddridge County Ambulance Authority will be here if you need us.

Today, providers from Doddridge County Ambulance Authority spent the day sharpening skills that could make a difference when seconds matter most.

We hosted a specialized training program, Patient Care in the Auto Extrication Environment, focused on providing advanced medical care, patient stabilization, and packaging while patients remain trapped inside crashed vehicles. These complex incidents require close coordination between EMS and rescue personnel, making realistic training opportunities invaluable.

We were also pleased to welcome providers from Doddridge County Emergency Squad Inc. as we continue building strong relationships with our mutual aid partners.

A huge thank you to HealthNet Aeromedical Services and Jeff White for providing this outstanding training opportunity and sharing their knowledge and experience. We would also like to thank Smithburg Volunteer Fire Department for the use of their training facility, rescue apparatus, and extrication technicians; Nutter Fort Fire Department and Salem Volunteer Fire Department for providing additional extrication technicians; Nicholson Auto, Inc for supplying and transporting the training vehicles; and Bridgeport Equipment and Tool for providing the telehandler used during the exercises.

Most importantly, thank you to the providers who spent their day learning, training, and improving their skills. Their commitment helps ensure the citizens of Doddridge County receive the highest level of care when they need it most.

Training never stops because emergencies don't wait.

As National EMS Week begins, we want to take a moment to recognize the incredible people who serve our community every day.

Over the past year, Doddridge County Ambulance Authority has continued to grow and improve with one goal in mind — providing the citizens of Doddridge County with the highest level of emergency medical care possible. From new ambulances and equipment, to expanded training opportunities and continued investment into our crews, we are proud of how far our agency has come.

EMS is more than lights and sirens. It’s long nights, difficult calls, and being there for people on some of the hardest days of their lives. We are incredibly fortunate to have a team that shows up every day ready to serve this county with compassion, professionalism, and pride.

We also want to sincerely thank all of our partner agencies and organizations that work alongside us. Emergency services is truly a team effort, and we are grateful for the support and partnerships we have throughout our county and region.

Happy EMS Week to all EMS providers — especially our crews serving Doddridge County. Thank you for everything you do.

DCAA has a new look! We are excited to announce the delivery of our two new Osage ambulances, featuring a completely refreshed design- inside and out. These units were built to reflect our continued dedication to enhancing patient and provider safety, and show our constant commitment to innovation and excellence in EMS.
