The West Tisbury Police Department would like to thank everyone for another successful Agricultural Fair in the books. Pictured here are just some of the many people who helped maintain a smooth operation and kept the fair enjoyable for all. We are also grateful for the amazing teamwork of the West Tisbury Fire Department and the Martha's Vineyard Agricultural Fair staff. We look forward to seeing everyone again next year!

🚧 ROAD WORK NOTICE 🚧
Paving Project to Prompt Temporary Detours on State Road Beginning Tuesday, June 9, 2026
The West Tisbury Police Department, in conjunction with MassDOT, would like to advise residents and motorists of a roadway improvement project that will temporarily alter traffic patterns on a section of State Road.
Beginning Tuesday, June 9, 2026, construction crews will commence a comprehensive paving project designed to improve roadway safety and surface conditions. Work will take place on State Road between Stoney Hill Road and Davis Look Road.
To ensure the safety of construction crews and the traveling public, this section of roadway will be closed to through traffic during active work hours.

🗓 Work Schedule
Monday through Friday
7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
⏳ Project Duration
Approximately two weeks, weather permitting.
🚧 Traffic Detours
Southbound / Up-Island Traffic
Motorists traveling up-island will be detoured around the construction area via Lower Lambert's Cove Road.
Northbound / Down-Island Traffic
Down-island traffic may continue along State Road; however, motorists should expect delays.
Detour signs will be clearly posted throughout the affected area.
🏠 Local Access
Access will remain available for:
• Emergency vehicles
• Residents and abutters within the work zone
Please note that temporary delays should be expected.

⚠️ Motorists Are Asked To:
✔ Seek alternate routes when possible
✔ Allow extra travel time
✔ Reduce speed and use caution near work crews
✔ Follow all posted detour signs and traffic control devices

Updates regarding project progress and schedule changes will be provided through the Town of West Tisbury website and official communication channels.
