On December 19, 2025, the West Tawakoni Police Department successfully recovered a stolen vehicle that had been reported out of Freestone County. Thanks to the alert generated by the Flock Safety camera system, officers were able to quickly locate the vehicle and ensure it was reunited with its rightful owner.
Over the past three years, Flock cameras have assisted the department in recovering multiple stolen vehicles and reducing crime in our community. Stolen vehicles are often used to commit additional offenses, making investigations more difficult and sometimes placing innocent vehicle owners under suspicion for crimes they had no involvement in.
By utilizing Flock technology, law enforcement has a significantly better chance of identifying stolen vehicles early and recovering them before they can be used in further criminal activity. This system continues to be an important tool in protecting our residents and supporting effective policing.
