Missing Dogs
These two pitbulls are at Tawakoni Marina. These dogs belong to someone. They are trained and taken care of. If you know the owner please help.

On 03/04/2021, Sgt. Aly and Officer Harris conducted a stakeout operation that resulted in the apprehension of a fugitive from the Texas Board of Pardons and Parole.

Later that night, Sgt. Aly and Officer Harris conducted a traffic stop at the 400 block of May's ln. The stop resulted in the recovery of a stolen firearm and the arrest of a 44 year old white male. We would like to thank these officer's for their hard work and dedication to keeping our fine city safe.

Vehicle reported stolen Tuesday at 2:30 pm at Billy's Gas Station. Recovered today by Sgt Aly and Officer Harris at 5:15PM. Good work guys !

**Free bottle Water pick up**

The City received 160 cases of water from Hunt County Emergency Management. These cases of water are free to the public limit one per family. We will be Distributing these at the Tawakoni Fire Department on 276 at the following dates and times.

02/23/21 9:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. and 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M.

Bottles of Water

Monday 02/21/2020 we will be picking up about 160 cases of bottle water from Hunt County Home Land Security in Greenville. These cases of water will be taken to the Tawakoni Fire Department for public distribution. We do not know what time Hunt County Homeland Security will receive the shipments of water once they contact us we will go get them bring them back and then contact the public.

*** MESSAGE FROM WEST TAWAKONI PUBLIC WORKS***
***UPDATE on water issue*** The City of West Tawakoni Public Works department is working diligently to restore the water back to normal. We want to ensure everyone that the water system is currently working at full capacity off of a generator. The issues being experienced are due to the amount of water currently being consumed from the citizens being more than the system can produce. The system generates about 300 gallons a minute. With over 1000 homes keeping a couple of sinks running to prevent the pipes from freezing, we are using the supply faster than the plant can produce it. West Tawakoni Public Works has been at the plant since 3:30am and will continue to monitor the station. We want to give special thanks to our public works crew, Jason Henderson from H&F Wrecker Service, our Mayor, council member Kevin Featherton, and the Tawakoni Volunteer Fire Department for all of the help. Please be patient and we will get through this together.

***We do ask for everyone to help us out by keeping water at a slow drip trickle instead of running. ***

1. Day off from laundry
2. Hand wash your dishes
3. Set your temp in your home to 68
4. Turn lights off when your not in a room.

We are currently monitoring the road conditions in West Tawakoni. The 2 mile bridge is currently still open. 276 has ice please drive slow if you have to get out.
