These photos may not look exciting, but we are thrilled to have finally been able to refinish the original flooring in our Vaber Hall on the second floor...and also the stage! You can see it for yourself when you come to our book talk this Friday, September 11 at 7 pm. Do join us and the authors Richard S. Jackson Jr. and Cornelia Brooke Gilder as they discuss their newly reissued landmark book, "Houses of the Berkshires 1870-1930". And thanks again to all our supporters who donate to the WSHS and make the ongoing restoration of the building possible.

Mary Hannah Parkman is back after the summer break at our Old Town Hall with Beginner and Intermediate "Tai Chi - Flowing with the 24 Movement Form" classes starting Tuesday, September 29th. The series of 5 classes is $125. Register and pay online on the Events page of our website.

Got your tickets yet for our next Jazz concert on Saturday, 9/19? We are presenting the Hot Club of New England, a band co-led by vocalist Atla DeChamplain and her husband, pianist Matt DeChamplain. Along with violinist Jason Anick and Bassist Greg Loughman, the HCNE reimagines the Great American Songbook and presents original jazz compositions as well. Should be a hot night in the old town hall! 😉

As part of the annual Housatonic Heritage Walks, visit Baldwin Farm and West Center with Town Historian Bob Salerno on Saturday morning, Sept. 26th, as he talks about an important part of our early community and its manufacturing and quarrying activity.
