The Berkshire Edge visited the West Stockbridge firehouse for a sneak peek of what the community can expect to see at the Open House, from the department's engines to the life-saving equipment firefighters use every day.

For training tonight we flushed and pumped out of one of our hydrants on State line Road. We also did some driver training at the town hall. Thank you to WSPD for directing traffic for us on State Line Road.

Last night we had the opportunity to train with Life Star. They are one of our resources we can use when we need to get a patient to a hospital quickly. We went over landing zones and procedures to follow to make it safe for everyone.
Thank you to Life Star for making the trip out here. Special thank you to Richmond Fire Department Lieutenant Bart Temple for setting this up. This was a great drill to do together with Richmond, Stockbridge and West Stockbridge. Fire Departments.

Looking for volunteer  firefighters. With a small community it needs as many as possible . And this department needs more than what we have so if anyone can apply it be much appreciated.
