What: Celebration of the International Women's Day, March 8th.
In the heart of the event is a performance of prominent Springfield musicians and educators Sofa Shainskaya (piano) & Boris Kogan (cello) and their students from Springfield Music School. Concert will feature classical music of Russian composers of different eras in solo, duo and ensemble performances of students & their mentors. Soft drinks, wine and cheese will be served.
When: On March 8th at 6 pm
Where: Springfield Quadrangle at Community Music School, 127 State Street, Springfield
Tickets: $5
For families: if more than 4 people attand any additional family member is free.

Well, out nutrition education classes are rolling! We have very active participants who not only quick learners but also teach some good stuff. Our next group is starting at RCAM's office on February 26 at 11 am. There are still a couple of spots left, so, if you are over 55, Russian speaking and would like to learn about health nutrition, please give us a call at (413) 726-1352

Tomorrow is the first session (out of series of five) of nutrition education program for the Russian speaking seniors. We starting the program in senior apartment housing in Longmeadow, and will continue in other towns in the Greater Springfield area. We are very excited to try out the evidence-based curriculum Eat Smart, Live Strong. Our goal is to improve fruits and vegetables intake as well as physical activities among Russian speaking seniors. We will keep you posted on our progress! There are more to this project then just nutrition education...
