Big thanks to partners like Marathon Petroleum Corporation St. Paul Park Refinery who move our mission forward!

Yesterday, we celebrated Marathon's longtime support of our Shepard Farm property in Cottage Grove with a plaque unveiling. Their funding helped us build the restrooms, pavilion, and parking lot at Shepardโ€”essential spaces for our educational programming to happen!

The team at their St. Paul Park Refinery also brings skilled volunteers to Shepard Farm, with expensive equipment in tow, completing large trail maintenance and infrastructure projects we couldn't do alone.

Thank you to those who joined us: Marathon Petroleum Corporation St. Paul Park Refinery employees, City of Cottage Grove, MN - City Government Mayor Myron Bailey, and Congresswoman Angie Craig Constituent Advocate Morgan Durfee.

We're grateful to be in the Cottage Grove community ๐Ÿ’š

Educators from across Minnesota are onsite and outdoors, learning in the same environments as students. Breakout sessions feature puppets, live animals, gardening, and nature journaling.

The conference also centers and caring for educators.

Read this piece from our Spring/Summer 2026 newsletter to see how participants leave with more than just ideas and tools for teaching.
