“How Sacramento’s mass shooting killed the myth of ‘tough-on-crime’ prosecutors” like Yolo DA Jeff Riesig, and Sacramento DA Anne Marie Schubert.

How much more money will both waste on regressive policies that do no work? How many more lives will be lost?

Both counties have “Tough on crime” DA’s who tout progressive policy, both were Republicans who changed to Independents to fool voters, and both have qualified progressive champions who have always been Democrats running to replace them.

Elect Alana Matthews for Sacramento District Attorney, and reject Theon Ho, Anne Marie Schubert’s choose successor

Elect Cynthia Rodriguez for Yolo District Attorney, and Fire Jeff Reisig.

We vote and support those who promote our values. That doesn’t mean no police, or letting killers walk free. It means if you made a little mistake then you should have options, rehab, reform, jail, but if you made a violent mistake you get locked up so you can’t harm the rest of us again, but while there you get help, and you don’t get out till you made good on your crime.
