Today, we were fortunate enough to catch another independent sewer service company trying to take advantage of another innocent resident. They told them, like at least a dozen other residents we have heard from and helped, that their sewer line was broken and needed to be replaced. Today's would-be victim was told $44,000 to fix the issue. We have caught companies trying to charge up to $57,000 down to as little as $5,000. Today's resident called us and explained what the contractor told them, so we went down and jetted their service line. We also video-taped the line only to find out their line was fine. Council has taken the steps they have and allowed us to service the property owners' sewer lateral line because contractors are taking advantage of innocent residents. If you look at your water/sewer bill this what that $5 service fee is for. Council was concerned when they found out what was happening to their residents, so they came up with this new policy. We are available 24 hours a day 7 days a week. If you have any issues, please call us first. There is no additional charge other than your normal water/sewer bill. Please watch out for your neighbors in case they have any issues as well. We are our brother's keeper, and we want to protect our friends, neighbors, and family from being taken advantage of.
