The MWR Fitness Center invites you to participate in their Remembrance Run to honor the memory of those who lost their lives on September 11th, 2001. This 5K race will take place on September 19th at 8:30am, starting and ending at the MWR Fitness Center.

Register online via Webtrac (see link below), or by visiting the MWR Fitness Center. Register early for a discount! Admission (which includes a race bib and a commemorative race T-shirt) is $25 per person if bought before Sep 17th. Day-of admission will be $35. Register before August 19th to guarantee your shirt size.

BONUS ADMISSION: Participants of our 5K race will receive FREE admission to our Oktoberfest event on Saturday, September 26th (bring your race bib to show at the Admission tent)!

This race is open to the public. Dogs on leashes, walkers, and children in strollers are welcome!

Join CYS Youth Sports for their Junior Black Knights Travel Soccer Tryouts! ⚽️ These tryouts for the 2026-2027 Fall/Spring Season are free and open to CYS eligible Youth. Tryouts will take place on August 11th and 12th at USMAPS (USMA Prep School, near Washington Gate). Age groups are as follows:

• Girls U10: 6pm-7pm at the USMAPS Lacrosse Field
• Girls U12: 6pm-7pm at the USMAPS Lacrosse Field
• Boys U10: 6:30pm-7:30pm at the USMAPS Soccer Field
• Boys U12: 6:30pm-7:30pm, at the USMAPS Soccer Field

During the season, games will be played on Sundays, with practice twice a week. If selected for a team, the child in question must be registered with CYS through Parent Central, if they are not registered already. Call Youth Sports at (315) 774-9238 for more information.

Join Leisure Travel Services for Day Trips! August trips are as follows:

🏖️ Tuesday, August 4th: Hammonasset Beach State Park - Go swimming and sunbathing, have a picnic, or stroll along miles of sandy shoreline at Hammonasset Beach, with a stunning views of the Long Island Sound! We'll leave West Point at 9am, and leave Connecticut at 4pm. Transport cost: $30/adult & $25/child.

⛳️ Thursday, August 6th: Roscoe Mountain Club Golf Course - This scenic 18-hole Golf Course, nestled in the Catskills, offers lush fairways, rolling hills, and breathtaking mountain views! We will leave from West Point at 8:30am, and leave from the Golf Course at 4pm. $55pp (incl. transport + greens & cart fees)

🛍️ Saturday, August 8th: Highline & Chelsea Market - Enjoy a summer stroll thru Manhattan by walking the High Line, offering an elevated view of the skyline! After, explore delicious food and shopping at Chelsea Market! We will leave WP at 9am & leave NYC at 4pm. Transport cost: $30/adult & $25/child.

🐅 Wednesday, August 19th: NYBG & Bronx Zoo - Enjoy a day at the beautiful NY Botanical Gardens and/or the Bronx Zoo! Tickets for both attractions must be reserved online in advance. We will leave from West Point at 8:30am and leave from NYC at 3:30pm. Transport cost: $30/adult & $25/child.

🎭 Wednesday, August 26th: LTS Van to Broadway - Treat yourself to a dazzling Broadway show with half-price tickets from the iconic TKTS booth! Or, just enjoy a night of fun in the Big Apple! We’ll leave West Point at 4pm, and depart NYC after the shows (~10:45pm). Transport cost: $30/adult & $25/child.
