We are honored to have the opportunity to help out a community in mourning during this tough time.
This week, all across Box Elder County, first responders will be standing side by side to honor and pay tribute to our fallen officers. These services are a time for us to come together in respect, reflection, and unity—not only as individual departments, but as one family of public safety professionals.
In order to allow our firefighters the opportunity to attend and participate in these services, Garland Fire Department will be receiving full coverage from outside agencies who have volunteered their time and resources to serve our community.
We are especially grateful to North Davis Fire District, who will be covering all Fire & Medical calls in Garland's service area on Thursday and Friday. They will be bringing an 'Transport Engine' staffed as both a fire company and a paramedic ambulance crew, ensuring that our citizens remain fully protected while our department attends these solemn services. A command vehicle will also be accompanying them, staffed with a Battalion Chief, to provide support and command for any working incident.
If you see them in Garland City, please extend a warm Garland welcome and a sincere thank you. Their willingness to step in is a powerful reminder of the bond that exists within the fire service—when one department has a need, others rise without hesitation to answer the call.
The brotherhood and sisterhood among firefighters, paramedics, and law enforcement officers is unlike any other. In moments of loss, it is this unwavering support that strengthens us all. We are honored to serve alongside such dedicated men and women, and we are grateful to live in a community that always stands behind its first responders.
From all of us at Garland Fire Department—thank you for your understanding, your support, and for helping us honor the memory of those we have lost.
